Pianos, safes, and pool tables
Uprights, baby grands, and full concert grands each move differently, and we handle them right, wrapped and secured to a piano board with the legs and pedals removed on grands. Gun safes are dead weight and unforgiving on floors, so we use safe jacks, stair rollers, and plenty of padding to protect your hardwood and the safe itself. Pool tables get disassembled properly, with the slate handled in sections and the felt kept clean, then releveled at the new place instead of left for you to sort out.

Antiques, fine art, and high-value pieces
Old and valuable pieces get careful, individual handling. Antique dressers, curios, and heirloom furniture are padded and wrapped so joints and veneer don't take a hit in transit. Framed art, sculpture, and mirrors are corner-protected, wrapped, and boxed in adjustable cartons. For the truly delicate or irreplaceable, we'll talk through a wooden crate. We also move gym equipment, treadmills, and home theater gear, the bulky items a standard crew tends to dread.

When padding and a blanket aren't enough, we build a crate to fit the piece. Fine art, statues, marble tops, glass tabletops, and antiques that can't flex get measured and boxed in custom wooden crates for the trip. Crating is worth it for anything high-value going long distance or into storage, where it'll be handled more than once. Your move coordinator flags candidates during the estimate so you decide up front, and there are no surprises when the truck arrives.
The plan before the lift
Specialty pieces go wrong when someone improvises. We don't. We measure doorways, stairwells, and the turn at the landing, check elevator dimensions in high-rises around Tysons and DC, and plan the route out the door before anyone touches the piano. For heavy items we bring the right dollies, straps, ramps, and crew size for the weight. If a piece won't fit the stairs, we figure that out during the estimate, not while it's wedged halfway down.

Do you move all types of pianos?
Yes. We move uprights, baby grands, and full grands across the DMV. Grands get the legs and pedals removed and the body secured to a padded piano board.
